Full accident evaluation

Exam, orthopedic and neurological testing, and a written care plan. We send copies to your attorney or adjuster when you want us to.

What We Focus On

Personal-injury care, from the first visit to case closure.

Chiroport is built around the needs of crash-injury patients. That means thorough documentation, coordinated communication with your legal team, and care plans that are easy to follow while your case is still open. We serve patients from Payne-Phalen, Frogtown, Dayton’s Bluff, the East Side, Maplewood, and the greater East Metro.

We don’t promise outcomes. What we can do is work methodically — careful exams, clear notes, steady follow-through — so that whatever you decide about your health and your claim, you have a clean record behind you.

Paying for Care

Three ways patients pay at Chiroport.

Whatever brought you in — an accident, a chronic issue, or a wellness goal — we’ll help you find a path forward. We verify coverage and explain costs before care begins.

Car Accident & Personal Injury

We bill most auto insurance PI claims directly, or work with your attorney’s lien — often $0 out of pocket for qualifying cases. We handle the documentation so you can focus on recovery.

Start a PI intake →

HSA, FSA & Workers’ Comp

We accept HSA and FSA cards for eligible visits, and work with workers’ compensation plans. We’ll give you an itemized receipt for your records and explain expected costs before care begins.

Cash Plans & Wellness Care

No insurance, or prefer to pay directly? We offer transparent cash visit rates and ongoing wellness plans with predictable pricing. No surprise bills.

Why Timing Matters

Waiting can make a crash injury — and the documentation — harder.

This isn’t about pressure. It’s about facts. Here’s what we tell every patient who calls a month after an accident wondering if it’s too late.

Ask us your timing question →
01

Symptoms can surface late

Adrenaline can mask whiplash and soft-tissue injuries for days. An early evaluation creates a baseline even if you feel okay now.

02

Treatment gaps complicate records

Clinical records tell the clearest story when care starts close to the date of injury. Beginning treatment early gives your provider, and anyone reviewing your records later, an unbroken timeline.

03

Minnesota has a statute of limitations

MN generally allows two years from the date of injury to file a personal-injury lawsuit. Your attorney can confirm for your situation.

04

No-fault benefits expire

MN no-fault medical benefits typically require reasonable, timely care. Delays can complicate what your policy will cover.

Clinical Scope · Post-Accident

Common post-accident injuries we evaluate.

If you were recently in a crash, fall, or work incident, these are the injuries we most often evaluate and document. Some require imaging or specialist referral — we coordinate appropriate next steps when clinically indicated.

Neck & Upper Back

  • Whiplash (WAD I–III) — strain of the cervical muscles and ligaments from rapid acceleration-deceleration after a Saint Paul crash; symptoms are often delayed 24–72 hours.
  • Cervical sprain/strain — stretched or torn neck soft tissue causing stiffness, reduced rotation, and referred headaches.
  • Cervicogenic headache — head pain originating from the upper cervical joints, often one-sided, worse with neck movement.
  • Upper trap and levator spasm — protective muscle guarding that follows collision-pattern injuries and limits shoulder motion.
  • Facet joint irritation (cervical) — inflammation of the small posterior neck joints causing sharp, localized pain on extension or rotation.

Low Back & Hips

  • Lumbar sprain/strain — the most common post-crash low back injury; pain with bending, lifting, or prolonged sitting.
  • Sacroiliac (SI) joint dysfunction — altered pelvis mechanics after impact; one-sided low back or buttock pain, worse getting up from sitting.
  • Disc irritation without frank herniation — inflamed disc causing stiffness and referred leg pain; MRI indicated when neurological signs are present.
  • Sciatic nerve irritation — radiating pain, numbness, or tingling down the back of the leg from lumbar nerve root compression; often seen in East Side patients after rear-end collisions.
  • Hip flexor and gluteal strain — bracing injuries from sudden impact; limits walking, stairs, and sit-to-stand.

Shoulders, Chest & Ribs

  • Seatbelt-pattern chest wall injury — rib, sternum, and clavicle-area soreness from restraint loading; evaluated for fracture when indicated.
  • Rotator cuff strain — impingement or partial tearing from bracing against the steering wheel or dashboard.
  • Costochondral sprain — inflammation where rib meets sternum; sharp pain with deep breath or twisting.
  • Shoulder sprain — ligament injury from arm being yanked during impact; limits overhead reach.
  • Thoracic spine sprain/strain — mid-back stiffness and pain with rotation or deep breathing.

Head & Jaw

  • Post-concussion symptoms — headache, fogginess, light/noise sensitivity; referred out for formal neurological evaluation when indicated.
  • Tension-type headache — muscle-driven head pain secondary to cervical strain.
  • TMJ strain — jaw pain, clicking, or limited opening after airbag or restraint loading.
  • Cervicogenic dizziness — upper neck-driven lightheadedness, worse with head turns; screened against vestibular causes.

Full-Body & Delayed Onset

  • Delayed-onset soft tissue pain — symptoms appearing 24–72 hours post-crash as inflammation peaks.
  • Generalized muscle guarding — protective full-body tension that shortens strides and stiffens posture.
  • Sleep disruption from pain — evaluated and documented as part of the care record.
  • Stress response and irritability — noted when patient-reported; referred for co-management when indicated.
  • Reduced range of motion — measured, documented, and tracked across the care plan.

Some conditions require imaging or specialist referral. Chiroport LLC coordinates appropriate next steps when clinically indicated.

Clinical Scope · Everyday Care

Conditions we care for beyond personal injury.

Not every patient comes in from a crash. We also provide ongoing care for the everyday musculoskeletal complaints that build up from work, posture, and repetitive strain.

Neck & Posture

  • Tech neck — forward-head posture strain from phone and laptop use common among Payne-Phalen office workers; neck, shoulder, and upper-back tightness.
  • Chronic neck stiffness — ongoing limited rotation that does not improve with stretching alone.
  • Tension headaches — muscle-driven head pain tied to upper-back and neck tightness.
  • Upper-crossed posture — rounded shoulders and forward head from desk work; addressed through mobility and strengthening.

Back, Spine & Nerve

  • Mechanical low back pain — movement- and posture-related back pain without red-flag neurological signs.
  • Sciatica-type referred leg pain — radiating symptoms screened and co-managed when indicated; common in East Side patients with long commutes.
  • Postural mid-back pain — thoracic stiffness from prolonged sitting and device use.
  • Functional scoliosis management — supportive care for mild postural curves; structural scoliosis is co-managed with specialist referral.

Joints & Extremities

  • Shoulder impingement — pinching at the top of the shoulder during overhead motion.
  • Tennis/golfer’s elbow — repetitive strain at the elbow tendons common among Frogtown trades workers.
  • Knee tracking pain — anterior knee pain from mechanics and muscle imbalance.
  • Plantar heel pain — foot-origin pain often tied to calf and hip tightness.

Work & Lifestyle

  • Repetitive strain from manual work — evaluation and documentation for labor-intensive occupations across the East Metro.
  • Desk-job shoulder and wrist tightness — ergonomic screening and mobility-based care.
  • Pregnancy-related low back pain — pregnancy-modified care, co-managed with OB when indicated.
  • Post-surgical stiffness — mobility support with surgeon clearance on file.

Between Visits · Not a Replacement for PI Care

Wellness & maintenance adjustments.

Short, consistent visits to stay ahead of flare-ups — not a replacement for PI care.

Who it’s for

  • Desk workers and long commuters
  • Runners, lifters, and weekend athletes
  • Hmong elders and multi-generational households
  • Manual-labor and trades workers
  • Pregnant and postpartum patients (co-managed with OB)
  • Patients who finished PI care and want to stay ahead

What visits focus on

  • Joint mobility screening across the spine, hips, and shoulders
  • Soft tissue release for recurring tight areas
  • Adjustment of segments that are consistently restricted
  • Mobility and home-care cues you can actually use
  • Honest reassessment — if something needs imaging or specialist referral, we say so

How it works

Most wellness patients come in every 3–6 weeks depending on job demands, training load, and history. Visits are shorter than PI appointments and focused on keeping the areas that flare up under control. Care plans are individualized — we do not sell open-ended packages or push visits you do not need.

Ask About Wellness Plans

Wellness care is self-pay or HSA/FSA eligible in most cases. We’ll walk you through costs at your first visit — no pressure.

Call (651) 202-3178
Will my insurance cover care after a car accident?
In Minnesota, auto policies include no-fault benefits (PIP) that often cover reasonable medical care after a crash, regardless of fault. We can verify your benefits before your first visit. If your no-fault exhausts or doesn’t apply, we accept HSA/FSA, workers’ comp, and cash pay — we don’t accept most major health insurance for regular visits.
What if the other driver was uninsured?
Your own MN no-fault coverage generally pays for reasonable medical care after a crash even if the other driver is uninsured. If you’re pursuing a claim, uninsured-motorist coverage on your policy and/or an attorney can help. We can still document your care.
Do you bill directly to my attorney’s lien?
Yes, on approved letters of protection from your attorney. That means you typically don’t pay at the visit; the balance is handled at the time of settlement.
How many visits will I need?
It depends on your exam findings. A typical PI plan is reviewed at every progress check — we only continue care as long as it’s helping. You’ll always see the plan in writing first.
Can I come in if my pain started days after the crash?
Yes. Whiplash and soft-tissue injuries often show up later as adrenaline wears off. Call and tell us when the crash happened — we’ll fit you in for an evaluation.
Do I need to be referred by my doctor?
No referral is required to see a chiropractor in Minnesota. If your care plan benefits from other specialists, we’ll coordinate those referrals for you.
Do you offer appointments in Hmong?
Yes. Our front desk assists patients in English and Hmong, including help with intake forms, insurance, and scheduling.
What should I bring to my first visit?
A photo ID, your insurance card(s), the police/accident report if you have it, and your attorney’s contact info if you’ve hired one. If you don’t have everything, come anyway — we’ll help.
Is chiropractic care safe after a crash?
Care is based on your exam findings. If imaging is needed before treatment, we order it. If chiropractic isn’t appropriate, we refer you to the right provider. Safety and informed consent come first.
